Steel Tubing Trends for 2025

1/28/2025

Industry predictors point to 2025 as a strong year for steel tubing and pipe. There are numerous positive trends and initiatives that show promising shifts on the horizon for Aladdin Steel, which translates to growth in service to our customers.

INCREASE IN COMMERCIAL BUILDING DEMAND

One strong indicator emerging was recently illustrated by the Steel Tube Institute, which is an organization that brings together key players in the steel industry to advance the use of steel tubing. In a recent article, Executive Director of Steel Tube Institute, Dale Crawford, stated “There is a shift in the way multi-use buildings are used. Companies who are returning to the office after working remotely are looking for buildings that meet customers’ demand for efficiency and sustainability.”

This growing demand, paired with the increasing initiatives to build structures with an emphasis on sustainability make steel tubing and piping the preferred structural component.

FOCUS ON USE OF DOMESTIC PRODUCTS

With the change in leadership in Washington, there will be a renewed focus on using domestic products and labor. This will likely be promoted through the support of tariffs on imports for items, such as steel tubing, that can be produced domestically. This also, in turn, will equate to increased jobs and workforce in the industry in the U.S.

EXPECTED INCREASE IN DEMAND FROM INFRASTRUCTURE INDUSTRIES

As we continue to evolve and grow out of the pandemic-era of business shutdown, demand will grow in the areas of construction for bridges, railway, roads, highways, buildings and more. This will equate to a growing demand for pipe and steel tubing products, as these products are a vital component to creating structures that are sustainable and durable.

The year does appear to be promising, and we, at Aladdin Steel, are ready on a daily basis to meet those demands.
